Warmest greetings from everybody at Artworks. As some of you will know, over the past few weeks we have been working hard to plan for the current emergency. Right until the Government's official announcement on 23rd March 2020 I had been exploring every possible opportunity to find some way of running the Easter classes, hoping the situation would have settled.

Sadly, the announcement of the nationwide lockdown means this cannot happen at the present time.

This is a perilous time for all small businesses. I have run ArtWorks classes for over 30 years now, and this is the first time I have had to cancel a course. I know that after life returns to some form of normality we will run the classes again. I have the best team of tutors I've ever had the pleasure to work with and I know they all miss working with the children.

To all of you, I want to take this opportunity to offer our thoughts and best wishes from everyone at Artworks. Stay safe, and I hope to see you again after the curfew is lifted.

Currently, we are exploring every possible way in which we can continue to provide support, ideas and inspiration to parents and children during these trying times. So please watch this space for further artworks initiatives - project ideas, useful websites and resources, one-to-one support from Artworks tutors for young people who were due to be taking art examinations soon. Thankfully, it is currently the perfect weather for painting and drawing outside, or through a window. Exploring the visual possibilities around us is one of the greatest gifts that art offers to all of us.

We are living through history and art has always been at the forefront: whether for documenting the times we are experiencing, or for nourishing the soul and providing the soothing balm of mindful concentration.

For now, best wishes to all of our Artworks family.
